Buy 1 get 1 free

I was working today and I came across this incident which I found funny enough to blog about. The place that I was working at was offering a 'buy 1 get 1 free' pretzel sale after 4p.m. There are signs about this everywhere and I guess that's the reason why it was so crowded. I assumed everyone understood what the sign meant but obviously not everyone because this was what happened...

High School Girl: Could I please have a cinnamon pretzel?
Me: Yep, would you like both to be cinnamon?
High School Girl: Nope, just one cinnamon.
Me: Okay, and what did you want the other pretzel to be?
High School Girl: I only want one - cinnamon.
Me: It's buy 1 get 1 free, so you can choose ANY of the pretzel for free.

High School Girl: I don't have enough money for 2, I just want one.
Me: No, I'm charging you for 1 pretzel but you get the other free.
High School Girl: No, I just want one. *starts to get annoyed*
Me: Um, but it's buy 1 get 1 free.
High School Girl: Can I just get one?

Me: -shifty eyes- *hands her the cinnamon pretzel*
High School Girl: *takes the pretzel from my hand* I don't have enough money for 2.
Me: ......

Me: *turns slowly to look at my manager*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
