Firstly, before I start this blog post.. I just want to say.. I SURVIVED PERTH'S FREAK STORM!

Yesterday, Perth experienced one of the worst storm since 1994. The storm brought 40 millimetres of rain and gusts of wind that got up to approximately 120 kilometres per hour. The damage in perth was really insane and here are just SOME pictures of the damages that were caused by the storms yesterday.

Please note: I take no credit for the following pictures on my blog.

FINALLY...

How the storm affected me?

WELL... (I stole this from my sister's blog!) MWAHAHAHA!

"When Bus 206 arrived, me and my sister sat right beside the back door of the bus. The rain was still pouring cats and dogs, and it started to get heavier. The main roads were getting flooded, with water up to the top of a car's wheel. A man alighted at the stop with a hat on his head, hoping that it would save him from the rain. Upon seeing this, my sister couldn't help but laugh at this funny sight.

At the next stop, a guy alighted with a black umbrella hovered over his head. But as soon as he got down from the bus, the umbrella was swinging around without control (due to the strong wind/rain). Once again, my sister thought that it was hilarious and she started giggling at him. As though her laughter was contagious, literally everyone in the bus started joining in. Haha!

Next, it was our turn to alight the bus. We headed straight to the shelter the moment that we touched the pavement. Around 10 people did the same! This time, the people in the bus laughed at us. It was totally hilarious. So anyway, me and my sister headed down to MacDonalds to grab dinner. The pavement was flooded so badly that we had half our legs buried in the water. On top of that, the rain was so heavy that we couldn't see where we were going. We just ran to the nearest light!

Stepping into MacDonalds fully drenched, we had everyone laughing at us. The cashiers, the customers and even the policemen. Haha! For some reason, we found it a rather funny experience. Soon, my uncle picked us up from Livingston and drove us home. On the way home, we found a shed sitting on the middle of the road. It was just unbelievable! Can you even imagine that?"

And now, I shall blog about how the storm affected me at home...

Well.. I experienced approximately 9 hours of blackout. Having no electricity meant no internet, no phone, no television, no light - no EVERYTHING. I felt so deprived. I had to shower with approximately 10 candles in my bathroom. At first, I found it quite scary, after a few minutes I thought, wait.. my bathroom looked quite romantic then.. I realize I was showering alone! How romantic can that get?! HAHA.

Oh sorry, I keep drifting off don't I?

Mm, well.. I spent the night watching glee on my laptop which had about 3 hour of battery. (YES! FULLY CHARGED!) I accessed facebook through my facebook mobile. Felt so deprived because I had no phone connection, so I couldn't call out or receive calls, I couldn't do my assigments, I couldn't do my daily devotion time to god, I couldn't do my daily bible reading. So in the end, I just gave up and decided I wasn't going to do anything but sleep early.

I'm just so glad the storm has passed!

So yes, a really messy post - I have to admit.
